This fire resistant acrylic sealant is specifically designed to provide fire protection and has a fire rating of up to 4 hours. It is an intumescent sealant, meaning it expands when exposed to temperatures above 120°C, effectively preventing the penetration of smoke and fire through joints and gaps.
The sealant can be easily applied and painted over, allowing for a seamless integration with the surrounding surfaces. It is commonly used in passive fire protection systems for various applications, including joint sealing and filling, installation of fire retardant window and door frames, fire retardant connection joints, penetration seals, and internal garages. It is also suitable for filling cracks in concrete and plasterwork to enhance fire resistance.
